Group Health Cooperative of Eau Claire’s (GHC) purpose is to optimize the health care of our members through the cooperative’s pooling of health-related resources.

Through the Inspiring Healthcare Innovation Grant, GHC intends to extend the reach of our purpose by promoting widely recognized goals for health care improvement including:

- Six Sigma and Lean methodologies that address formal process improvement
- The six goals of care delivery identified by the Institute of Medicine
- The four keys to system reform identified by the NIHP

In 2007, GHC made $500,000 available in the form of project support grants to providers and organizations in the GHC network. Seven organizations that are striving to offer a more efficient and effective approach to health care delivery received awards.
Our vision is that this grant will inspire innovation among providers and organizations to develop new ideas on how to improve health care quality and reduce cost.
